Middle Eastern cuisine - good girl and I cook

As announced in the Friday Filler good girl and I visited yesterday on the MVHS a cooking class with the topic of kitchen of the East.

My goodness ... was super cool and delicious. But until it was time we had to "work" very beautiful.

we were 16 participants and 18 complete meals were cooked and eaten. I like to eat but that was the madness. As determined a few more people would become sick.

We shared words in groups. Good Girl and I really wanted to cook the dishes of Group 4, which was us :-)

Helped us while still a man who has done his thing but quite well ;-)

Well, five courts were to be established and included a Ramadan soup from Morocco, pita bread, Maklube (chicken and cauliflower) from Jordan, Muhammara (pepper paste) from Jordan and Tfaya Lamb Tajine from Morocco. The initial chaos began to take a disciplined and after each of us had found such a place, it went off.

The other three groups were trained to stuffed grape leaves from Palestine, Bisamak couscous from Tunisia, tabouleh, zucchini with Chermoula from Morocco, Lebanon, from baklava, falafel from Syria, etc., etc., were wonderfully fresh ingredients

The and sometimes a bit unusual - Have such as the pickled lemons in brine, which tasted delicious but incredibly to the Lamb Tajine.

The recipes are really easy and we will cook one or the other court for sure.

Thus, a tagine is already on my wish list and the loaded lemons can not wait too long in coming.

Here are a few pictures of our banquet chef:

Tajine - A cooking pot made of clay, glazed inside and outside, the food cooks
in their own steam. Who so wants to buy something
should purchase ensure that the clay pot is not glazed colorful, because it
then usually contains lead in the glaze.

Our man in pita bread :-)
- very simple dough that can go wrong because nothing except
you the bread can be too long in the oven
.

Baklava and Dattelgebäck -. thank God already Zuckerentschärft
would have a delicious dessert, I ate not a long time.

tabouleh - a parsley salad with mint, perfect for the summer.

Tfaiya Lamb Tajine - my absolute favorite dish. That was just super!
Here are the pickled lemons in it.

Muhammara pepper - tastes delicious with pita bread.

Harira Ramadan soup - the only court with green coriander
Hmm, I love cilantro.!

The cooking class took a total of 7 hours and then I was really messed up. But it was worth it and against the price of 49 € including materials you can ever say. Crying out for the next course :-)
